about
max benz
born 1968 in cologne / germany max benz studied
fine art at the 'Staatliche Kunstakademie Düsseldorf'
(state acadamy of fine arts, düsseldorf / germany), one of
the most famous art schools in the world. he was a student of
prof. markus lüpertz and was appointed to 'meisterschüler
(master-class student) of prof. markus lüpertz' 1996.
max benz lives and works in cologne / germany.
max benz was one of the first artists, who discovered the internet
as a platform for showing his artwork and to inform interested
visitors about upcoming exhibitions.
this first homepage was published 1996. in the mid of 1999 he
started using printouts from digitally created images as components
of paintings for the first time and in november 1999, in front
of the upcoming new millenium, he decided to complete his knowledge
about the the possibilities of the computer as an instrument for
art production. in the mid of 2000 he developed the concept of
'art on demand' as a new category of art multiples. Later this
year, he started using logopoints instead of a signature and shortly
after that the idea of the 'internet art project' was born.
about the internet art project
the 'internet art project' or 'iap', based on the 'art on demand'
(aod) concept, was founded to deliver digitally created fine art
using the capabilities of the internet. 'art on demand', the next
generation kind of fine art, fills the gap between the limited
editions of so-called 'art multiples' and the demand for high-quality
fine art at low costs. the 'internet art project' is a place offering
this new kind of fine art digitally created by the german fine
artist max benz. the picture-files are the originals (means: even
max benz doesn't have other ones than you, if you download them)
and the best of all is: they are absolutely free of charge. as
an additional unique feature you can make it a real authorized
piece of fine art ! max benz doesn't sign his works of art the
usual way - he applies logopoints instead (!) - and, if you like,
you can get one for your own printout of a downloaded picture!
if you like to change it into a real and authorized piece of art,
click on 'order a logopoint'. you can download all pictures on
this page free of charge (!), they are optimized for printouts
at letter size (e.g. A4), so you can print them on your desktop
printer at home. to enlarge the pictures on the overview page,
click on them - a popup-window will open and show you a screen-optimized
version of the picture. if you like, you can also download the
picture at this moment by clicking on 'download this picture'.
all files are zip-compressed to enable faster downloads. the images
are saved in the "Portable Document Format" (.pdf), so you can
open them with the adobe acrobat reader and won't need any imaging
software to view and print the pictures. if you have any trouble
with the popup window function, don't have a zip extraction tool
and / or the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer,
look at 'the FAQs' above. the number of downloadable pictures
will increase constantly, therefore it's worth to bookmark this
site and come back frequently to see the recent finished works
of art. © max benz
